Discount Value Options in Regios Automatic Discounts
Regios Automatic Discounts offers multiple options you can use to decide which discount amount to apply to eligible products:
Percentage (ex. "5% off shirts")
Fixed amount (ex. "$5 off shirts")
Fixed price (ex. "Shirts cost $15")
Buy X, Get Y (ex. "Buy 2 shirts, get 1 shoe free")
Volume/tiered/quantity breaks (ex. "5% off for 5-9 items, 10% off for 10+ items")
A percentage discount reduces the price of eligible items by a specific percentage.
These additional options are available for percentage discounts:
Quantity: The quantity of items the customer will receive a discount on. If this is 0 or unset, the discount will apply to all line items that are eligible for the discount.
A fixed amount discount subtracts a specific amount from the price of eligible items.
This is NOT the same as a fixed price discount.
These additional options are available for fixed amount discounts:
Quantity: The quantity of items the customer will receive a discount on. If this is 0 or unset, the discount will apply to all line items that are eligible for the discount.
If selected, we subtract the fixed amount from the entire order subtotal. If not selected, the fixed amount will be taken off each eligible item in an order.
When the customer's geolocation is in another country, fixed amount discounts will need to be converted to the local currency. This often results in numbers with decimal places, for example $12.34 instead of $12.00. If you would not like customers to see decimal places, then you can use any of the following options to decide how to calculate the final discounted price:
Round UP to the nearest whole number (maximizes revenue): Calculates the final discounted price using a mathematical "ceiling" operation. Example: $12.34 becomes $13.00.
Round DOWN to the nearest whole number: Calculates the final discounted price using a mathematical "floor" operation. Example: $12.34 becomes $12.00.
Round to the nearest whole number: Calculates the final discounted price using a mathematical "round" operation. Example: $12.34 becomes $12.00, while $34.56 becomes $35.00.
Do not round: Customers may receive prices with decimal places.
Our app allows you to create volume discounts, which incentivize your customers to buy more. Please read this article to learn how to set them up.
You can also use the "Applies to" option, which decides how to select which line items to count when applying a volume discount.
The options are explained here.
A fixed price discount sets the price for a group of items to a specific price.
For example, you can sell "3 shirts for $15."
This is NOT the same as a fixed amount discount.

Quantity: The quantity of items the customer will receive a discount on. If this is 0 or unset, the discount will apply to all line items that are eligible for the "customer gets" condition you provide in the next setting.
Customer gets: Our app will search the cart for line items with products that match the product eligibility options you provide here. These items will receive the discount you specify.
At a discounted value: The "customer gets" items will receive this discount. You can use the discount value options found in this article here.
If you're looking for the "Y" product to be automatically added to the cart, then what you actually need is a "free gift with purchase" or "auto add to cart" offer.
