Automatic DOPP Setup

To speed up the Discounts on Product Pages setup, our app can now automatically create a copy of your theme, adding any necessary app embeds/blocks, and pre-filling the right settings. Here's how to use this feature:

Go to the "Discount on Product Page" page in the app, and then select the theme you'd like to display discounted prices in. Select "Automatic," and then click "Next."

If your theme is on our Supported Themes list, confirm your theme type and click "Generate theme ZIP." If it isn't, see "Unsupported themes: AI coding assistant" below.

Once the generation completes, download the ZIP. In a new tab, visit the "Online Store" page in your Shopify admin dashboard. Click "Import theme > Upload zip file" at the top right.

Click "Add file" or drag and drop your ZIP file in. Once Shopify has imported the theme, you can preview the new theme and see discounted prices displayed.

IMPORTANT: If you change pagination settings in your theme (e.g. "Products per page," "Product limit," etc.), you'll need to update the app block settings in your theme to keep the app working as intended.

Unsupported themes: AI coding assistant

If your theme isn't on our supported list, our AI coding assistant can set it up for you. It edits a copy of your theme (never your live theme) so discounted prices show on product pages, collection pages and search results. It follows our Custom Theme Setup process for you.

1. Select your theme and choose "Automatic," as above.
2. Leave "Use AI coding assistant" checked.
3. Click "Generate theme ZIP."
4. Wait while it works. It usually takes a few minutes, and up to 15 minutes on large themes. You can leave the page while it runs.
5. Download the ZIP and import it as described above.

AI can make mistakes. Always preview and test the new theme before publishing it. Check a product on sale, a product with an automatic discount, a collection page and search results. If the assistant couldn't finish part of the setup, the app lists what to check by hand.

You can run one AI setup at a time per store. Wait for the current one to finish before starting another.

Fallback: product pages only

If you only need discounts on product pages, or the AI setup doesn't work for your theme, use the Discounted Price block with the Product Page Discount block instead. It takes about 2 minutes to set up, but it only covers product pages, not collection pages or search.
