What Happens If You Exceed Your Plan's Order Limit

Example in-app notice of exceeding your plan's limit

Every Regios Discounts plan includes a monthly order limit: the number of orders your discounts are applied to per billing period. Your plan's limit is shown on our Shopify App Store listing, on the Billing page in the app, and in our Pricing FAQ, and has been part of our pricing since August 19th, 2023.

When you go over your limit, we notify you in three ways: a notice inside the app, a message in your support conversation (if you have one), and an email to your store's contact address. The in-app notice shows exactly when your grace period ends.

You then have a 14-day grace period to upgrade to a plan that fits your store's volume. Upgrades take effect immediately, and you can upgrade from the Billing page in a couple of clicks.

If no action is taken by the end of the grace period, your discounts are automatically disabled. Nothing is deleted: your discount configurations are kept exactly as you left them.

To restore your discounts, upgrade from the Billing page. Your discounts are re-enabled automatically after the upgrade; there's no need to rebuild anything.

Common questions

Will I be charged extra for going over?

No. We never charge usage fees or take a cut of sales. We only ask you to move to the plan that matches your volume.

Does my plan upgrade automatically?

No. Shopify requires you to approve any charge, which is why we can't upgrade you automatically and have to disable discounts instead.

I wasn't aware of the limit

Plan limits are listed on the App Store page you installed from, the Billing page in the app, and this helpdesk. The notices we send before disabling include the exact deadline.
