Can I create a POS Tile from a Discount in Regios?

At the moment, it’s not possible to create a Shopify POS Smart Grid tile from a Regios discount.

Why doesn’t this work?

Regios Discounts are built using Shopify Functions, and currently, Shopify POS does not support creating tiles for Function-based discounts. Because of this limitation, Regios discount codes won’t appear as selectable options when setting up Smart Grid tiles in POS.

What does this mean?

• You cannot assign a Regios discount to a POS tile
• Regios discount codes won’t show up when configuring Smart Grid tiles
• Staff cannot apply Regios discounts via a tile tap

Are Regios discounts usable in POS?

Yes — Regios discounts can still apply in Shopify POS in supported scenarios, but not as manually triggered tiles.

Workaround

If you need a discount that staff can quickly apply using a POS tile:

• Use Shopify’s native discount codes
• These can be added to the Smart Grid and applied with a single tap

Future support

To support this feature, Regios would need to build a custom POS extension, which is not currently on the roadmap.
