500 Internal Server Error
If you are getting a "500 Internal Server Error" error, it's hard to tell at first glance what the cause could be. Some possible causes include:
A bug in our app's backend
An outage or breakage on Shopify's end
In this case, the most important thing is to prevent losing your work. Follow these instructions to save your discount until the issue is resolved:
1. Backup your discount logic, so you don't lose it
At the top of right of the edit discount page, you'll see a "Logic" button. Click it, then click "Export" to save your discount logic to a file.
In the Shopify mobile app, click "More > Logic > Import."
2. Reload the app
Click "Regios Discounts" in the app navigation menu to go to the app home screen. Then, refresh the page. If you're using the Shopify mobile app, close Regios Discounts and reopen it instead.
3. Import your logic into a new discount
Follow the usual steps to create a new discount. Click "Logic > Import" to find your backup file and copy its logic into the new discount. Or, if you want to overwrite an existing discount, you can use the "Logic > Import" button for that as well.
If the underlying cause of the 500 Internal Server Error has not yet been resolved, you won't be able to save the new discount until it is.
4. Done!
Save your discount, and you're good to go.
