# Market Eligibility Options in Regios Discounts

This article explains how to create discounts that apply only to specific **Shopify Markets**, or exclude certain markets entirely.

## Example Use Cases

* “25% off Collection ABC in Germany and Japan only”
* “Apply a discount in all markets *except* the US”
* “Create different discounts for each market (e.g. 10% in Canada, 20% in UK)”

## How to Use Market Criteria

### 1. Grant Market Access

If this is your first time using market-based logic, you’ll see a banner:

> **“Markets access has not been granted”**

Click **Grant Access** to continue. You may be prompted to leave the page—click OK to proceed.

### 2. Create or Edit a Discount

* Click **Create Product Discount**
* Give it a name like *Markets Demo*
* Click **Edit Logic**

### 3. Add Market-Based Criteria

You have two options:

#### Option A: Use the AI Generator

* Describe the discount in plain English, like: “25% off Collection ABC in Germany and Japan”
* Click **Generate**
* The logic will automatically include the appropriate market condition

#### Option B: Manually Add Criteria

* Click **Add Criteria**
* Choose **Include or exclude markets**
* Select one or more markets to include or exclude
* Example:
  → *Include: Germany, Japan*
  → *Exclude: United States*

### 4. Combine Market Criteria with Other Conditions

Market rules can be used alongside any other criteria—such as product, collection, quantity, or customer tag.
